In recent days our server has been experiencing heavy load spikes intermittently. (Usually once or twice every 24 hours for about 15 minutes.) The host is currently monitoring the issue and is trying to rectify it. I will also be doing my part to ensure that my scripts don't take up too much server load. IPB 3.0 is still in beta and it this point isn't fully optimized yet. However, it seems to still run okay in the same memory space that I was running 2.3 on.
In other news, the forum upgrade managed to frag the site thanks to a snip of code I added. That has now been fixed, but still the future of the site itself (just the site, not the forum or AGM) is uncertain, so enjoy it while it still lasts. (If it's even enjoyable.)
Also, parentheses.
UPDATE 5/19: So it seems that the host has pinpointed something that could have been causing the problem and has disabled it. So far the server seems to be running even better now but it may be a few days before we see whether or not the issue has been resolved.
